Student Success Statement - Woodrow Wilson

Student Success Statement

“Tell me what is right and I will fight for it.”

-Woodrow Wilson

Fights? Is it okay to fight? When is it okay? Why do you fight? To answer all that I must explain when it is okay to fight. Is it even okay to fight, yes, yes it is—and it does not always have to physical, it can be verbally. Remember that it is only okay when you stand up for something you believe in, when you know what is right and want people to hear. Fight for what you think is right, fight for what you believe is right, even when everyone is on team wrong. You must stand up for yourself and your beliefs. If you know what is right then you fight for it. You may also fight in self-defense, but that isn’t the meaning behind fighting here. You fight because you witness something wrong being committed. You don’t need to fight for something wrong and vile that would be the complete opposite. Choose the right and fight for it.
