Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by a breakdown of thought processes and by a deficit of typical emotional responses.

Schizophrenia is not always common, it has been linked to our genes and our environment. Both of these have showed to have some sort of connection to Schizophrenia causes. Sometimes genetically we inherit our parents and ancestors traits, so that may be a big reason from developing schizophrenia. Another factor would be our surroundings—our environment. Pollution and other dangerous toxins have suggested that schizophrenia may result in part when a certain gene that is key to making important brain chemicals malfunctions.  One big reason you might develop schizophrenia is because of a drastic event or something happened and you were shocked and you stay sort of traumatized.  Drugs are a big contributor to Schizophrenia as well.

Now from my personal experiences with schizophrenics, not all are ‘crazy’ or always on the moon imagining. My brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia a couple years back and he takes medication. But when he doesn’t you see another side to him.

That’s why I think Schizophrenia is not that bad; people think it is like a disease or illness.  Schizophrenia can easily be controlled and managed.
