Student Success Statement
“You make your habits
and your habit make you”
“You make your habits
and your habit make you”
--ANON
I am trying to understand the
real depth behind this statement, but what I think this statement means is actually
more of a moral. We make our lives, we earn our respect, we do not simply get
something or we usually earn it. A big example would be grades; students don’t ‘get’
grades, they simply earn them, and with that said. . . when students say “teacher
why did you give me an D”
the teacher’s response would be “I did not give you the grade, you earned it yourself .” That is just a perfect example
of the pure meaning behind this bold statement. One more common example would
be buying something at the store; you don’t just buy things, you
worked for the money (earned it), and then you bought that item. Not only is
this example of your earning, but your habits, your habits determine who you
are, where you live, and other important things, so you should make your habits
right. So in return: YOU make your HABITS, and HABITS make YOU. Choose the
right!
