Student Success Statement
“What’s right isn’t always
popular, and what’s popular isn’t always right.”
--Howard Cosell
This
is 100% true, especially now in the present day, younger people always will use
the same excuse that what they are doing (which is wrong) is okay because
everyone is doing it and it’s popular. But it is the complete opposite; It is
NOT right and you should not just follow what others say or do. This also ties
in to being unique and being yourself, not doing w
hat
others say or because they say it, you have to stand out, avoid fitting in, but
always choose the right! So once again always choose what’s right even if it is
not what is popular at the moment and even if no one is doing that; for example
now a days something popular is ditching classes and doing other stuff, so most
kids do it, because they witness it and suggest “well everyone is doing it, I can
do it too”, and they may conclude that just because everyone is doing it, it IS
okay.
