“To see what is right and not to do anything it
is want of courage”

I think what Confucius is trying to say is that, you
are at a lack of courage if you see what is right, and not do it. For example,
you might see everyone cutting in line to get their food, but will you do it
too? No, you keep that courage and go to the back & do what is right. Now,
if you witness wrong doing but still do it, that right there is ‘want of
courage’ that shows your thirst—your thirst for courage. You need courage, to
say no to wrong and to do all that is good.
